2020 Winter Youth Track Program
This year the Colts Neck Sports Foundation will be offering a Youth Track Program geared to getting kids off the couch and outside. This program will run for 5 weeks and will be over before the winter break. The purpose of the program will be to teach kids proper running techniques, warm up, cool downs as well as gauge interest for a program in the spring. Please see below for more details regarding the program. If you are interested, please go to coltsnecksportsfoundation.com and under sports go to the Track page to register. Please forward any questions you have to CNSFTrack@gmail.com.
Learn proper warm up techniques, warm up games, relay races and runs of 100 to 400 meters, totaling 1 to 1.5 miles per session, timed runs for runners to improve their personal best times (which will be recorded), and cool down jogs and stretches. The program will follow all state guidelines in regards to social distancing. Therefore, each hour long session will be capped at 100 registrants. This will be done on a first come, first serve basis. There will be no activities involving passing batons or touching of other athletes. The athletes will be required to maintain the appropriate distancing of six feet from all other athletes and coaches. The coaches and participants will have temperature checks before the session begins.
